17th/18th century brass chamberstick, marked

This is a rare cast brass chamberstick, French, dating from around 1700-'10.
It is marked with a maker's mark NG (not known to us). In the handle it is marked with the "C couronne", which is the French crowned C that was struck between 1745-'49 in all copper alloy goods (also the existing goods).
The socket has one seam and a hole for removing the remaining candle wax.
Condition: Very good.
Length: 20 cm (7 7/8 inch).
